The theme of this year’s press day is “Press for the Planet – Journalism in the Face of the Environmental Crisis “. Through this celebration, Inspector General Pol. Sandi Nugroho emphasized the important role of journalism in overcoming increasingly complex environmental challenges . According to him, cameras in the hands of press journalists have a strategic role in conveying accurate and educational information about environmental issues, so that people can care more about and protect the earth.
Apart from that, he also emphasized the National Police’s commitment to supporting press freedom and ensuring the safety and protection of journalists in carrying out their duties. These are the words of the Head of the National Police Public Relations Division this time on the occasion of World Press Day.
